Our heavy-duty mild steel work surfaces provide maximum load-bearing capacity for industrial fabrication shops and manufacturing facilities. Fabricated from commercial-grade steel sheet (typically A36 steel or equivalent), these impact-resistant workbench tops are engineered for welding stations, machine shop tables, automotive repair bays, and sheet metal fabrication. The surface receives multi-stage pretreatment (degreasing, phosphating) before application of epoxy-polyester powder coating in standard RAL colors, creating a chip-resistant, chemical-tolerant finish that withstands oil exposure, solvent spills, and mechanical abrasion. Optional diamond plate steel surfaces provide anti-slip texture for safety-critical environments, while integrated grounding points ensure ESD protection for electronics workbenches. Custom gauge thickness (from 14-gauge to 1/2″) accommodates extreme weight requirements.
